That's exactly how I feel when one of the five fictional individuals listed below shows up on my screen. Do we share any of the same least favorite television characters?
Daredevil's "Foggy Nelson"
He's constantly joking, but very, VERY rarely am I able to laugh at anything he says : ( His humor is ill-timed and about as weak as Taylor Swift karaoke battling against Adele. Though Foggy seems to have been written for the purpose of supplying Daredevil with some much needed comic relief, Foggy simply isn't funny enough to do the job. Throw a "Schmidt" from New Girl into the Daredevil mix and that would be funny.
Daredevil's "Karen Page"
Karen Page is basically an overgrown six year-old (No offense intended to six year olds; children of that age are adorable. But when a twenty something year old woman acts like she's six, it's not cute. At all.) in that every sentence she delivers is in a whiny, I'm-on-the-verge-of-tears tone. You know how a little kid gets when they're on a road trip with their parent and they're bored and hungry, so they start whining in the backseat? That's the way Karen
Page sounds ALL THE TIME. Whether she's ordering a coffee, giving another character a pep-talk or announcing that she's made a ground-breaking discovery that will change the course of history for the better, Karen Page's voice is that of a sobbing six-year-old who's mourning the death of her puppy.
Arrow's "Black Canary"
Arrow's Black Canary/ Laurel Lance is stiff, boring, and shallow. Everything she says and does is predictable, yet stupid. Basically, if things are going well for the Green Arrow and his crew, you can think, "What stupid thing does someone need to do for bad stuff to happen?" and that question right there will lead you to Laurel Lance's next decision. And to top this off, as she's taking on whatever utterly predictable/lame task she's up to, she will speak and act in such a dry and boringly stiff way that you will wonder if it will one day be revealed that Laurel Lance is actually a robot.
The Flash's "Caitlin Snow"
This makes me sad because Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost has so much potential for depth and yet so little is done with her. She's basically a card board cutout of a human person. Hopefully the next season will reveal more depth to her personality and inner motivation.
