I'm pretty ADD in all aspects of life, including my hair, so I like to change it up a lot (which can be an expensive habit- argh!)
This year's Golden Globes had tons of gorgeous hair styles that caught my eye and maybe one or two of them will work for you too!
First of all to our left (Hm... I sound like a flight attendant) is Anne Hathaway with her post Les Miz haircut. I think this style works beautifully for those of us with more slender faces, it has a nice way of bringing out our eyes.
For the past couple of years, Halle's had a few different versions of this haircut and what I adore the most about it are the wild layers on the very top.
The layers remind me of flames and I notice that they do a great job of giving the wearer a natural face lift ( not that Halle Berry needs a face lift- she's absolutely gorgeous), the layers also accentuate the cheekbones and the eyes.
This style is really lovely and as I type, I'm thinking that I might get my hair cut like this...hm...
Which Golden Globes style did you like the best?
Oh! And also- I just have to mention something that annoyed the sleep out of me because it was a reminder of how we (women) have been trained to view ourselves... So, as I was searching through Golden Globes pics, looking for my favorite hair styles, I started noticing how ridiculous it looks when the ladies who walk the red carpet try (emphasis on "try") to look sexy for the camera.
To clarify- I understand that if you're a model and you're modeling a bathing suit, then you're supposed to look sexy because that's the job that the client expects of you. So, in that case, the pouting of the lips and the Zoolanderish squinting of the eyes, as silly as it looks, is a must. I totally get that...but...on the red carpet- just why?
Why not simply be yourself?
When Ben Affleck, George Clooney, and Leonardo Dicaprio walked the red carpet I didn't notice them puckering up like hungry goldfish whilst staring at the camera like they were trying to shoot lasers from their eyes. None of that happened- they simply smiled and looked super hot with their regular, adorable smiles!
I wish more ladies would do the same- instead of trying to be sex objects, just be natural. That's beautiful.
